Elvis and Ginger: Elvis Presley's Fiancée and Last Love Finally Tells Her Story Reviews
The book is enjoyable reading. Some new insights into Ginger and Elvis' relationship. We'll never know if Elvis was really going to marry Ginger or not. There's ample evidence in the book that Ginger believed they were getting married; but, not sure if Elvis was committed to marrying again. Ginger treats Elvis with respect; and, is honest about their life together.
Was very pleased with this book...Ginger Alden much to my surprise does not sugar coat anything that she witnessed in the world of Elvis Presley...when I first bought this book I figured it would be a happy face tale of love and me me me...not at all...she does a very good job in writing this and after all she was there...we were'nt.
I liked this book. Not the best Ive ever read, but it is her story of her time with Elvis.
I enjoyed reading this book it took me into the world of Elvis. I was only ten years old when Elvis passed but I still find his life so interesting. He was a amazing but very complicated man. I have read many negative things about Ginger and I'm glad I read her book it allowed me to finally know what she went through at such a young age what a exciting life she had with the king I still found myself in tears at the end I can only imagine how she felt and how her world just changed over night. Elvis is gone but not forgotten I'm honored to have just got a glimpse into his world.
I enjoyed reading Ginger's side of the story and very glad I got to read the book. I had always read in those gossip magazines how she was after Elvis's money but in reading her story I can tell that was clearly the opposite. I always thought Ginger was beautiful( and still is) just like Priscilla was. I was really young when Elvis died but even as a young girl I loved Elvis and bought all the special collector magazine issues that came out. Ginger was so sincere and I am so glad she wrote the book. I couldn't put it down each night I kept on reading and reading.
I'd seen some Youtube interviews with Ginger Alden and had no reason to distrust her version of events when beginning her memoir. Unfortunately for her, I did pick her book up just after reading Linda Thompson's own memoir, which includes her time with Elvis. There could not be a bigger difference between two memoirs.
I really loved this book. In my opinion, Ginger has not been given enough credit for her time with Elvis, and not viewed as serious because of her age. Hello, everyone he was serious with was young at the onset of their relationships.
The most respectful book written about Elvis, by his last girlfriend and fiancé, Ginger Alden. They shared a spiritual dimension that he didn't seem to share with anyone else. Had he lived, I think Ginger might have been able to save Elvis from his addiction, although that is pure speculation on my part. Ginger went on to live a life after his passing, without trying to cash in on his fame, as so many others have done. This book was written to set the record straight about him and their relationship. So much negativity has been written about her, and it was wonderful and refreshing to read her remembrances. She was then, and is now, a kind, down-to-earth person. She was the best thing that could have happened to Elvis, and has gone on to live a normal life with marriage and a family. Kudos to Ginger for writing this book.
