Easy to learn, the techniques behind papercut albums using single layer appliques are clearly demonstrated in this book, which also deals with the lush depictions of fruit that characterize many of Balti s antebellum albums....

Papercuts and Plenty (Baltimore Beauties and Beyond: Studies in Classic Album Quilt Applique, Vol. 3) Reviews
I love all of Elli's books and I was so happy to find this out of print one. The patterns are traced onto folded freezer paper and cut like snowflakes. I like to iron the freezer paper onto the appliqué fabric and trace around it. Then I layer the appliqué and background fabrics and baste together.
Excellent basic information and lots of patterns for paper cut designs.
great addition to my Quilt History library
Essential book for Baltimore applique. Book as described and shipped as advertised.
After having seen the display at FACES museum in Denton, MD (Fiber Arts Center of Eastern Shore), I knew I had to own this book! It is just a part of Elly's many faceted art forms. I have acquired most of her books and I have attended several of her classes in Lewes, Delaware and Williamsburg, Virginia. All of her books expound on her teachings and I enjoy the easiness of following her instructions. Elly is quite poetic and I enjoy her interspersing of sayings and poetry that accompany many of her pages.
Cannot go wrong with Ellis books!
